Terri: This is a very impressive story, and one which has some real jewels in it, not the least of which is the making of an unequivocal commitment. We need new models for high integrity relationships, where there is a sense of joining together for a higher and holier purpose, and a willingness to be in for the long haul. My friend Hugh Prather and his wife Gayle have a remarkable relationship which they have written about in their many books, and I have always been impressed with a decision they made early on, based on the promise “I will never leave you.” How many people today do you know who would be willing to make that promise, and not try to hedge or qualify it. Thank you so much for sharing. I believe Cohen is setting out the kind of principles here that can lead to true and longlasting happiness in relationships: committment, loyalty, unity, fidelity, and 'the long view.” If you get this Comment, please consider reposting this in Camp Happiness…:)
